When we are struggling or burned out, it is easy to feel like we are carrying our burdens alone.
But we are surrounded by unconditional love and support, even though at times, it is unseen.
The spirits of nature are always with us, waiting for us to recognise and receive their gifts.
Earth-based healing is rooted in Animism- the perspective that animals, plants, rocks and nature all are alive and have spirits.
Through cultivating a relationship with these beings, we heal feelings of isolation, ancestral wounds, our emotional, physical and mental anguish. Our vital energy is restored as we cultivate a meaningful relationship with life around us.
Indigenous cultures all over the world recognise these sacred bonds and through colonisation we have all been encouraged to forget them.
Earth-Based Healing is remembering, reclaiming and re-igniting our ancestral wisdom and sacred relationship with the world around us.
In this workshop, we will explore ways of cultivating a relationship with the spirits of animals, trees, plants, crystals and the elements in ways that support your well-being. You will be guided on a couple of meditation journeys to discover an Animal Ally and a Tree Ally to support a situation you are navigating.
This workshop is open to anyone with an interest in animism, paganism, earth-based healing or is a spiritual seeker looking to deepen their connection to the beings of nature.

“Serena lives the truth of what she does. Her grounded, skillful, and deeply in-tune presence has guided me into very profound felt-experiences. Her connection to the earth, and respect for all sentient beings allows me to deepen my own ancestral gifts, while lifting the burden of doing it all by myself. Serena’s perspectives help illuminate gaps in my own, and allow me to continue to live my life in a good way. I am incredibly grateful every time I have the opportunity to share space with her.”

As a Witch who makes her home and practice in Tkaronto (Toronto) Ontario, I deeply thank the original stewards of this land: The Mississaugas of the Credit, Mississaugas of Scugog, Alderville, Hiawatha & Curve Lake; The Chippewas of Beausoleil, Rama & Georgina island, the Haudenosaunee and Wendat nations. I acknowledge the resilience of the First Nation, Inuit and Metis people who live and work here in the present, in a system of inequity and oppression. I am working on uncolonising my own practice, amplifying Indigenous voices and supporting Indigenous communities in whatever way I can.
