“Some days I am more wolf than woman and I am still learning how to stop apologizing for my wild.” – Nikita Gill
Spring Equinox is a time for celebration of awakening fertility and rebirth. Also named Ostara, after the Germanic goddess of spring, Spring Equinox is when we feel the heartbeat of the earth mother quickening, and our life force and vitality awakening.
Spring is a powerful season of change- things are shifting and changing day by day. Sometimes it feels like two steps forward, one step back, but this process is akin to labor contractions, each bringing us closer to our imminent rebirth. It is time to grow and expand into greater alignment with our authentic self, path and purpose.
It is time to cast off the heavy cloak of winter and step out- feel the wind and sun on our skin, heed the desires pulsing within and embrace this time of self-actualization and growth.

This season encourages bravery, authenticity, and play. It is ok to experiment and allow ourselves some space and grace as new beginnings take root. Aligning with the first and fiery sign of the zodiac, Aries, the Spring Equinox asks us to take up the reins of our life and bravely step forward, even if its just a small step. We may find this season brings up some fear, self-doubt and/or abundant enthusiasm as we shed old patterns and create new pathways forward!
The balance of light and dark of Equinox shows us what we want and what is holding us back, so we can choose actions that help us release fear and stand in our power.
This is a season that supports trailblazing- breaking away from outworn traditions, conditioning and creating new pathways for ourselves and generations after us.
During this season we may become aware of new pathways we wish to forge in our life- stepping out of a familial patterns, outside of socially conditioned boxes, and creating a life path that is aligned with who we truly are and wish to be.
This time of great change calls for spiritual support and energetic strengthening. Connecting with our Animal Allies- the animal spirits that guide, protect and support us, helps us move through the transition with greater ease and vitality. Our relationships with these allies can transform our lives- we go from feeling alone and disconnected, to a deep sense of belonging, renewal and purpose.
Connecting with our Animal Allies:

Animal allies often show up in our lives to help us- they protect us, guide us and help us get in touch with certain parts of ourselves to help us grow, heal and move forward in positive ways.
Perhaps you’ve been seeing an animal in your dreams lately, or spotted one in your waking life that carries a message for you?
In this circle, I will help you identify and connect with an animal ally that has either been with you for a while, or is with you to help you at this time.
Animal allies are essentially spirit guides who help to strengthen and protect us in mind, body, heart and spirit. There are some that are always with us, and others that come to be with us temporarily. Either way, they are always a blessing and cultivating a strong relationship with an animal ally can transform and enrich your life more powerfully than you can imagine! They help us embody their gifts, nurture greater vitality and physical health, improved emotional and mental health, and follow a path that is right for us.
In this Hearthfire Circle, we will discuss the themes of the season and go on a guided journey to meet with an animal ally. We will gain insight on how to develop a relationship with this animal and honor them in our daily life. We will nourish our inner growth, honor our animal with a drawing exercise and step into the season with renewed vitality, strength and magick!
